COSTS

Champali Camp:
The rates for Champali are charged per day for the whole camp un-catered, irrespective of the number of people, with the maximum of 6 adults and 4 children.
RATES:
Up to end of July 2009 - 18,500 Ksh
From August 2009 - 21,000 Ksh.
Christmas and New Year rate 2009/10 - 28,000 Ksh.

These rates include all Community fees, all staff, good local cook, water, all basic commodities and laundry. Tips not included.

Dhow Charter: (Lamu-Kiwaiyu or Kiwaiyu-Lamu):
Variable, but approx.19,000Kshs including airport transfer and waiting time in Lamu. Contact Lamu world.

Champali Speed-Boat Charter: (Lamu-Kiwaiyu or Kiwaiyu-Lamu)
22,000Kshs including airport transfer.

Speedboat hire during stay:
There is a price list of various boat trips available in camp.

Kenya Wildlife Service:
Kenya Wildlife Service charges a Conservation Fee per day per person for all visitors to the Kiunga Marine Reserve.
Non-resident - $10 a day Resident – 300 Ksh Citizen – 100 Ksh

What to pay Where:
Camp Fees can be paid by bank transfer or cheque:
- 25% deposit at time of booking
- in full 6 weeks prior to departure.
( 15% of this payment is deposited directly into a Community Conservation project account.)
Dhow trip transfer to be paid directly to the dhow (Lamu World or other)
Champali boat transfer to be paid with camp fees by transfer/cheque prior to stay.
For Camp Boat rental during your stay you will be invoiced at the end of your stay.

CASH PAYMENTS:
Fresh sea food, Lamu shopping and KWS marine park fees will all require cash payment in Lamu/Kiwaiyu, as of course will tips.
